Kandra Albury
Chief Branding & Marketing Director
Kandra is a literary coach with more than 15 years of professional writing experience.
Her passion for writing started her sophomore year of high school when she enrolled in a journalism class. From there, she began writing for her high school newspaper and working on the yearbook committee.
Kandra’s professional experience includes working as a news reporter, television news producer and a supervisor of external communications with an emphasis on speech writing for chief executive officers. Additionally, her experience includes marketing, communications, and public relations.
She earned a bachelor’s degree in communication from the University of North Florida and a master’s degree in mass communication from the University of Florida [thanks to the generosity of the Tom Joyner Morning Show]. She earned a Ph.D. in ministerial education from Truth Bible University in ministerial education and leadership.
In 2012, Kandra published her memoir “From Food Stamps to Favor”. Immediately after writing her first book, she released the signature book in her children’s book series titled, “Don’t You Dare Touch Me There!” Kandra re-released her memoir April 2020. Since 2015, she has released three additional children’s books in The Feisty Four Children’s Book Series titled: “NO! …And I Mean NO, Let’s Say NO to Drugs!” and “Leave Us Alone You Mean ‘Ole Bully!” In fall 2018, she released “You Did It Not Me, Brave Brittany Speaks Up!” This unique series is designed to empower children, three and up, to discover and activate their superpower-courage-to prevent sexual abuse, bullying and illegal drug use. Also, in April 2020, Kandra released the first-of-its-kind, comprehensive, Pre-K through 12-grade C.A.P.E. Curriculum. This unique online resource for educators and parents teaches body safety, bullying and illegal drug use prevention.
Kandra is married to James C. Albury, manager of the Kika Silva Pla Planetarium at Santa Fe College in Gainesville, FL. They are the proud parents of three COURAGEous children and one brave grandson.
When Kandra isn’t coaching clients on their literary work, or teaching intensive writing classes, she is equipping children and parents on how to become their own advocate. She also enjoys spending time at the beach and sampling desserts.
She is a proud member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated.
Victoria Holmes
Chief Editor & Literary Coach
Victoria Holmes is a professional editor, literary coach, and affectionately called “A Gift” by her clients. Her experience and seemingly unending repertoire of literary expertise has been continually fine-tuned over the last decade and half.
She was raised and currently resides in Gainesville, Florida. Victoria is proud of the education she received within the Alachua County School District. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in English with Minors in Sociology and Mass Communications from the University of Florida in 2008. Victoria also pursued and earned her Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) with a concentration in secondary education and creative writing from the University of Central Florida in 2012.
Victoria has been a writer since she was a child. Unsurprisingly, during her youth and school years, all of her teachers [in some way] told her, “You will change the world with your ability to make words come alive!” The aforementioned proclamation, was foretold by Victoria’s 12th Grade English Honors teacher... Mr. Brian Bromberg. Apparently, he was right!
Her gifting has allowed her to impact the lives and stories of hundreds of authors (first-timers and veterans). Victoria has been sharing her love of “all things literary” with Florida’s students since 2009. As a professional educator (of middle schoolers to college freshman/sophomores), her students love her as much as her clients! She has often been deemed “The Cool Teacher, The Favorite Teacher, and the “I Need Help w/My Math Ms. Holmes, although you’re my “English Teacher,” Teacher. Victoria also earned the deserving honor of “Teacher of the Year,” in 2010.
Although, Victoria’s literary calling keeps her extremely busy, she occasionally manages to relax by spending time with her family and spoiling her niece and nephews, that she loves beyond her ability to articulate (go figure)! She is also a culinary enthusiast, that loves to cook when she gets into that groove or mood (maybe one day she will add a restaurant to her lists of accomplishments). Victoria loves reading/writing, traveling, shopping, and pampering herself as well!
What our clients have to say...
Ms. Victoria Holmes is a Literary Guru! I met her through a mutual friend, because I was in need of an editor, so I thought. Truth is, I was in need of a Literary Enhancer, Editor, and Encourager. God knows what we need and when we need it. I was blessed to meet Victoria Holmes aka Literary Impressions.
I sent her my raw manuscript and she saw the beauty, strength, and courage in my story. Although, it was accompanied by disorganization, repeated chapters, and a lack of clarity in some areas. She confidently assured me and said, “I can work with this, I know what you want and see what you need!” She was indeed a “God-send,” and we got started right away.
The encouragement I received was a bonus while working with her. She challenged me to be authentic while diving deeper than the surface of my story (transparency). I loved working with her because she is patient, kind, and a literary genius! What she does IS her gifting and her calling! The projects she accepts are not about the money, they are about the purpose...

My name is Takaya Poole, and I am so pleased to have been introduced to MTE. Kandra is the awesome lady who not only published my journal, but did and awesome job of making sure I received everything I needed and as well.
Whenever I reached out to her, she made herself available, and responded promptly. She made sure she answered all the questions I had, and thoroughly explained to the things I did not understand.
She walked me through each and every step and made sure my journal was published on time. Thank you Kandra. I appreciate all you have done for me, and can’t wait to allow you to publish my next journal!
Thank you,
Takaya Poole
When I first decided that I wanted to write a book, like many people, I had no idea where to go for help. When I found Kandra Albury, she was a true godsend.
The only thing I came to Kandra with was an idea. Well...really, it was my dream. I didn't actually have a lot of confidence that I had what it took to become an author. There I was, a 40-year-old single mom with very little time and no knowledge of how any of it worked. All I knew at that point was that I had a vision of doing something great with my life. I walked away from my first meeting with Kandra feeling like my dream was actually possible. Over the next few weeks, she held my hand through the process. I could see my ideas taking shape and coming to life. It was amazing! Kandra's knowledge about writing and publishing made it so easy for me.
Within months of working with her, I was able to get my book published and sold on mega-sites like Amazon and Barnes & Noble. I've had the privilege to perform multiple read-a-louds and have been asked to participate in many community events. I'm happy to report that the requests keep coming.
When I speak about myself now, I confidently and proudly say that I'm an author. This has truly changed my life. If I can do it, seriously, anyone can. I'm so grateful to Kandra for helping me bring my dream to fruition. I don't think I could have done this with her. The next chapters of my life will be written by a real author. I can't wait to see what unfolds.
